New lens!

I only own two lenses for my D90, the kit 18-105 and the Tamron 90mm Macro. I bid and won on eBay a 50mm f1.8 lens.  I'm really looking forward to trying out the lens to start shooting some portraits of the kids.  I should hopefully get the lens sometime next week.  Many new pictures to come after I get it.

Adobe Lightroom 4

Heading out to the Rosemont Convention Center for an Adobe Lightroom 4 seminar. Really looking forward to learning more about it to make my photos better.

Blame the Monkey!

I found an awesome new photography website, www.BlametheMonkey.com. This photographer, Elia Locardi, does some incredible HDR work. The cool thing about the site is most of his pictures have a slider that shows what the original before image looked like and after he applied all his magic Photoshop work to it. They are pretty incredible. Definitely something all my photographer friends should check out. Even if you just like looking at cool photos, go check it out.

Creative slump

I think I've only picked up my camera once or twice so far this year. I know it's only nine days into the new year but still. I can't seem stir up my creative juices to get anything started. I will be taking some shots of my preemie nephew in the next week or so. I just need to figure out some kind of project to start to keep me going.
